Don Bosco Dhisha Hosts HR Summit 2026 to Boost Youth Employability in Vijayawada

Don Bosco Dhisha, Vijayawada, organised the HR Summit–2026 on February 19, bringing together human resource professionals, placement in-charges, and representatives from 21 companies to strengthen industry collaboration for youth employability and the promotion of decent work opportunities.

Dr Amarlapudi Shekhar, Managing Director of the AP Christian Minority Welfare Financial Corporation, attended the summit as the chief guest. In his address, he underlined the growing importance of employability skills in a competitive job market. He stressed the need to ensure safe, dignified, and sustainable work environments for young people entering the workforce.
 
The summit witnessed the presence of key stakeholders from the Don Bosco network, including Fr. Sarath, Director of Bosco Skill Kerala (BSK); Fr. Jeevan, Regional Dhisha Director, Vijayawada; Fr. Gupta, Regional Dhisha Director, Vizag; Mr Sagar, Dhisha Coordinator; and Mr Joshua, National Job Placement Network (JPN) Placement Coordinator. Representatives from DB Tech and the college placement in-charges also participated in the deliberations.
 
A detailed presentation highlighted the impact of the Dhisha, JPN, and BSK initiatives, outlining their contributions to skill training, job placements, and the holistic development of youth. This was followed by an interactive session in which HR representatives from sectors such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, banking, and tele-calling shared insights on the strengths and challenges of today’s workforce entrants.
 
Several participating companies expressed interest in strengthening collaboration, with a few initiating steps toward signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Don Bosco Dhisha, Vijayawada.
 
The HR Summit–2026 concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the support of the INH Province, JPN, BSK, and the Regional Dhisha Offices for fostering meaningful industry–academia collaboration to empower young job seekers.
