Salesian College (Autonomous), Siliguri, hosted the first-ever inter-parish youth convention SymphoriX 2026 on April 18–19 under the banner of the Salesian Youth Movement, with the theme “Let Your Light Shine” (Mt 5:16). The convention brought together 109 students from classes 9 to 12 representing seven tea garden parishes of Bagdogra and Jalpaiguri dioceses.

The Salesian family of Dimapur Province and across Northeast India is mourning the sudden death of Fr. Maippan Paul, SDB (62), who passed away following a heart attack at Don Bosco School, Dibrugarh, on Sunday, April 19, at 5:05 a.m. Fr. Paul was also the former delegate of the Salesian Province of Dimapur for BOSCOM South Asia.

To equip 40 students in their 10th standard with the tools needed to make well-informed career decisions, Don Bosco Konkan Development Society organised a two-hour career guidance session at Don Bosco Farm High School in Sulcorna on 16th April. The workshop connected students' aspirations with realistic educational pathways through interactive presentations, comprehensive career pamphlets, and targeted psychometric assessments.

Don Bosco Tech Society, in partnership with CCSE and supported by Sungrow India Pvt. Ltd., has launched a Solar PV training initiative in Najafgarh to equip 30 youth with green skills and employment pathways. Formalised through an MoU on 2 April 2026, the five-month program integrates technical training, life skills, and placement support to promote sustainable livelihoods.

Don Bosco Tech Society launched its TVET SOP Framework at SkillVention 2026, standardising training and institutional processes across its ITI network in India. Developed collaboratively over a year, the framework also advances readiness for NCVET recognition, reinforcing a focus on quality, consistency, and holistic youth development.
