In a significant step toward bridging the gap between education and employment, the AIDA–Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DB JPN), Dimapur, in collaboration with Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram, successfully organized its first-ever Job Fair on October 28, 2025, at Don Bosco College, Maram, Senapati District, Manipur.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic response, with over 80 participants attending on-the-spot interviews conducted by five companies in person and three via online mode. By the end of the day, 40 candidates had been shortlisted for positions across India, marking a promising start to regional job initiatives.

The programme began with a prayer by Fr. Shyan C.J., SDB, Vice Principal, followed by a welcome address from Fr. Palatty Devassy, SDB, Rector, who highlighted the importance of such initiatives in creating career pathways for local youth. He thanked AIDA–DB JPN, Dimapur, for their collaborative effort in bringing employment opportunities closer to the region.

In his message, Fr. Dr. Roy George, SDB, Executive Director of AIDA, congratulated the organizers, calling the partnership “a powerful step towards realizing the career aspirations of the youth in Senapati and beyond.” He was joined by Dr. Anna Lungbila Bibiana, HRD Manager, and Mr. Augustine Gangmei, Program Manager, DB JPN India, who encouraged students to pursue their dreams with determination.

The Job Fair featured recruiters from various sectors, including SBI Life Insurance (Senapati), Chilli Breeze (Kohima), Guardian Angel School (Arunachal Pradesh), and Chicking (Tamil Nadu).

Concluding the event, Mr. John Britto, Placement Cell Coordinator, expressed gratitude to all collaborators. The success of this inaugural fair marks a new chapter in youth empowerment for Manipur — a state where youth unemployment remains a pressing challenge.
