(A Secular Folktale Retold by
A. Amirtharaj)
The Risen Christ’s partly hidden valley of
the Eternal Trees lay at the heart of a land often
forgotten by mainstream cultures. The valley was
famous for its majestic trees, planted by Christ as
a sign that he could never die again—where death
and decay held no power over creation. The leaves
of these unique trees never fell; instead, they
changed colour with the seasons, like an artist’s
brushstrokes on an infinite canvas.
Some trees stood as white as snow, others bore
deep orange and rich blue hues, each reflecting a
different facet of Christ’s eternal story. Beyond
them, rolling hills stretched like a soft blanket,
concealing Earth’s ancient secrets, while above,
tiny, intricately designed suns and stars hovered
in the vast blue, as if in awe of nature’s
harmonious display.
Whether sun, moon, or stars, each
celestial body carried the wishes of
visitors whose hearts were pure. Only
the most selfless desires became part of
that enchanted sky—this was the valley’s
secret. The stars would accept only
wishes born of true intent, untouched by
greed or selfishness.
