SALESIAN PEDAGOGY

A one-day training programme on Salesian Pedagogy was conducted on 22 May 2026 for the teachers of Don Bosco School (Kannada), Don Bosco School (English), and Don Bosco Pre-Primary School, Chitradurga, Karnataka. 85 teachers participated in the programme, which aimed at deepening their understanding of the educational vision and mission inspired by Saint John Bosco. The workshop, titled “Educating with the Heart of Don Bosco: A Journey into Salesian Pedagogy,” focused on helping educators rediscover the richness of Don Bosco’s Preventive System and equipping them with practical approaches to apply Salesian educational principles effectively in contemporary classrooms. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Rev. Fr. Maria Praveen, Principal of Don Bosco English Medium School, who introduced the resource person, Rev. Fr. P.D. Johny, Secretary of the Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia (SPCSA) and Secretary of the All India Don Bosco Education Society (AIDBES). The inaugural session was also attended by Rev. Fr. John Sanjay, Administrator and Principal of Don Bosco Kannada Medium School.
