The Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN) was launched as a nationwide initiative in 2020, with high hopes of transforming job placement and career guidance for underserved youth. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic created unforeseen challenges, making it difficult to reach job seekers and employers. Despite these hurdles, JPN leveraged its web portal and app to connect job seekers with opportunities, ensuring that many could still find meaningful employment.
JPN has expanded its reach across India, offering career guidance, skill training, and job placement services, particularly to marginalized youth. With the support of partners like eClerx and Macquarie, the initiative has successfully helped thousands secure jobs in various sectors. JPN's holistic approach goes beyond employment—ensuring job seekers receive training, legal support, and access to safe accommodations.
Employment is more than just a paycheck; it brings dignity, stability, and social inclusion. Pope Francis emphasizes that a job gives identity and purpose, and JPN embodies this belief. Through job fairs, direct referrals, and skill-building programs, the network has helped thousands secure sustainable employment, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. JPN remains committed to ensuring that every job seeker finds not just work but a brighter future.
