AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The primary objective of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, is to impart sound formation (religious, moral, mental, social and physical) based on theprinciples of Christian faith, to the members of the Catholic Community. It also imparts the same sound formation to all others admitted to the institution.

The method of education followed in the institution is the one taught and practiced by St. John Bosco (1815- 1888), a great educator of youth. It is based on the reverential love of God, on conviction, on the helpful presence of the educator, timely corrections and guidance.

VISION
St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong educates young pupils in the Don Bosco way to become honest citizens and successful human beings. We faithfully continue the tradition established by Don Bosco, based on Reason, Religion and Loving Kindness.

We offer an education which values and nurtures the religious, spiritual, intellectual, moral, aesthetic, social and physical growth of each student. We foster “student-student” and “teacher-student” relationship as an appropriate model, which empowers all students to develop a sense of purpose and respect for self, others and the environment.

We endeavour to meet the individual needs of students and welcome the contribution they make in using their special gifts and talents. We help to create a safe and happy ambience where all members of the school community are included, valued and cared for. All these lead to the pursuit of excellence and an ongoing commitment to learning.
