The second batch of trainees at the Don Bosco Tech Rangajan Center, consisting of 25 youngsters hailing from Manipur, Nagaland and Assam, specializing in the Food and Beverage Service Associate job, completed their training on January 19. Originating from conflict-ridden areas like Kangpokpi and Imphal, many of these participants had previously confronted homelessness and family loss and struggled with substance abuse. With the able leadership of Brother Sunny Joseph, the Director of DB Tech Rangajan, and a dedicated batch of staff, these youth found hope through the free training initiative.

The Don Bosco Technical School (DBTS) marked a historic milestone in its journey as it celebrated its centenary of existence, showcasing a rich legacy of technical education, character building, and community service. The events, held on November 9-11, brought together past pupils, students, faculty, and well-wishers to commemorate a hundred years of excellence in technical education and holistic development.

Don Bosco Tech Society, the network of all Don Bosco TVET centres in India, was honoured with the prestigious Mahatma Award 2023 for Social Good and Impact. Don Bosco Tech Society's remarkable achievement stands out among the 107 recipients carefully selected from 2100 applicants across diverse categories. The award ceremony, held at the Indian International Center in New Delhi on September 30, was a prestigious event graced by eminent personalities from various sectors. The Executive Director Father George Mathew and the Rector of the SPCI House Father Joseph Manipadath, along with members of the national team, received the award on behalf of the Don Bosco Tech Society.

On September 17, from various Don Bosco Industrial Training Institutes (ITI), 1665 students graduated, thus empowering India's youth in vocational education and skill development. The event coincided with the Vishwakarma Yojana, a national initiative to support traditional craftsmen and local artisans, aligning with Don Bosco ITIs' commitment to producing job-ready graduates. The graduation ceremony was a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students who completed their training in various technical and vocational fields.

As a special delegate invitee, Don Bosco Tech Society, an organization dedicated to skill training for disadvantaged youth, participated at the 14th Global Skills Summit 2023, held under the theme "Building Skills. Empowering Youth. Creating Future." The Summit was hosted at FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi, on September 20-21, 2023.

On August 29, 2023, Don Bosco Tech National office in Delhi had the privilege of hosting Fr. Biju Michael, the Regional Councillor for South Asia. This visit was marked by a warm welcome from Fr. George Mathew, the Executive Director of Don Bosco Tech India, and the dedicated national office staff. Fr. Biju, despite his busy schedule, engaged with various Don Bosco Tech Society initiatives, emphasizing their vital role in empowering youth through skill training and employment opportunities. He highlighted the potential of India's youth and the importance of skill development in overcoming challenges. Fr. Biju's visit showcased the commitment of Don Bosco Tech to transform the lives of disadvantaged youth through education and skill training, reinforcing its mission.

Don Bosco Technical School, Shillong, with the initiative of Don Bosco Tech Society, inaugurated the T-TEP (Toyota Technical Education Program) in Meghalaya, with Automotive Skill Development Corporation (ASDC), the key partner for the implementation of the project. The programme focuses on students from rural areas to enhance their skills, thus strengthening their employability through a unique training initiative.

The formal inauguration of the partnership kicked off with an event at Don Bosco ITI, Krishnanagar, West Bengal, the centre of skill training. The event was organized on June 16 by the Provincial leadership team from the Province of Kolkata and CSR Leadership from LTI Mindtree company.

The 12th Annual National Convention of all Don Bosco Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centres of India was held from February 3 to 5, 2023, at Don Bosco Skill Mission, Bangalore (Karnataka), with the theme, 'Let’s Reconnect' to revisit the origins of the network and closely look at the skilling memory lane with the idea of looking ahead to impact the lives of the needy youth in large numbers.

A niche job fair for the media and entertainment sector was organized by the Media and Entertainment Skills Council [MESC] under the aegis of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Government of India. The event was hosted by SIGA Polytechnic College in the Don Bosco Mediapolis Campus, Chennai on November24, 2022. Jainaressh, the Head South Region and Archana Sharma, the Business Development Manager of MESC were present.
