A song of hope and courage

A song of hope and courage. The Salesians of Don Bosco Veedu,Trivandrum, Kerala, India have a music video narrating some of their humanitarian intervention during the pandemic.
Oru Mazhayum Thorathirunnittialla is a hymn of hope, penned by Rev. Sajan.P. Mathew. The lyrics were written when he was suffering from Cancer and hospitalised. The song was an instant hit, and there are several versions of the same on social media. The song has inspired and given hope to many, especially when they were going through a personal crisis in their life. The latest adaptation is from Don Bosco VEEDU (Venture for education and empowerment of the Deprived and Underprivileged), Trivandrum where the Salesians have a Parish belonging to the Latin Archdiocese of Trivandrum, Childline and a shelter home for street children called Don Bosco Nivas and Social Intervention on behalf of the internally displaced migrant workers called KISMAT (Kerala Interstate Migrants Alliance for Transformation). The singer, a youth from the parish, is a daily wager in the city vegetable market. The other visuals are the activities of Don Bosco Veedu during the pandemic. Don Bosco Veedu had been instrumental in distributing study materials to children, distributing food kit and midday meals for the poor and homeless, and in a particular way, supporting the migrant workers.
